Bag Essentials for the Rainy Season

Health hazards and little hassles are part of having unpredictable weather. However, as long as we come amply prepared, no string winds or heavy downpours can even knock us down. (^_^) The rainproof tip: We should arm ourselves with sturdy resistant bag with lots of room for storage. We can use it to store some tools that may save us come unexpected drizzles.

Here are six must-haves this rainy season:

Umbrella - Opt for a heavy-duty one that can withstand strong winds and keep you dry.

Waterproof jacket or raincoat - it offers the wide coverage against the rain. It will keep you warm and dry, prevent clothes from being soiled, and make you less susceptible to common illnesses like colds and flu.

Flip-lops, rain boots, or plastic shoes - Both footwear have come a long way hen it comes to make and style. Newer flip-lops are made of more durable materials while rubber boots some in a wide array of fashionable colors and patterns. But if you want something more fashionable, try wearing jelly or plastic shoes that come in funky designs.

A pack of tissue - Clear yourself of dirt, sweat, mud and rain with a pack of tissue paper. This can also be used to clean items that have been drenched in the rain such as books.

Alcohol or hand sanitizer - Many people get sick during rainy season so it is imperative to constantly wash our hands in order to stay healthy. When there are no toilets in sight, keep those hands clean with a bottle of hand sanitizer or alcohol.

Moisturizer - Always carry some lip balm and lotion to keep your lips and skin moisturized during the cold, rainy weather.

Outsmart weather troubles by thinking ahead and preparing accordingly. Continue to be safe and healthy this rainy season!

The Rain Is Here

It's been raining two days in a row now. Oh well… Rainy days make me want to lie down on my bed. I super love it! It feels good to hear the sound of the raindrops pouring down on the roof. I think it’s more of relaxing time for me. Enough reason to stay at home the whole day, cook my favorite comfort foods such as Champorado, Arroz Caldo, or Macaroni soup. Comfort food is defined as any kind of food that gives a sense of wellbeing. Today, I didn’t cook any of these foods because my kids asked me to cook their favorite “spaghetti”.

It truly brings warmth to my heart whenever I’m with my kids. No matter what kind of day I’m having, my kids really brightens my day and gives my ray of sunshine during rainy days. (^_^)

So guys let’s all enjoy the rain ok. Happy rainy season and don’t forget to bring your protective gears to combat any sickness.

Describe Me! #1: The Umbrella Test (Sept 5)

I love rainy days... It is romantic and for me it means life...:-)

Your Pink Umbrella Says You're Sensitive

When faced with adversity, you respond with compassion.

Even if someone is making life difficult for you, you can't help but see things from their perspective.

You are emotionally in tune, and you are very sensitive to those around you.

You are able to give to those who need it most, even if they are difficult to deal with.

On a rainy day: you should offer to help someone who needs you
